On Tuesday, Polaris Private Equity IV K/S (“Polaris”) signed a definite agreement to acquire a majority stake in the Swedish company Akademikliniken HJ Holding AB (“Akademikliniken”).

Akademikliniken was founded in 1991 by Per Hedén and Jan Jernbeck and is today the leading provider of plastic surgery and aesthetic treatments in the Nordic Region. Since its foundation, Akademikliniken has expanded its operations beyond Stockholm and today operates four hospitals, in Stockholm, Malmö, Gothenburg and Olso, as well as twelve Walk-in-Clinics in Sweden and Norway.
