We are pleased to announce that Polaris together with a consortium of co-investors have acquired 100% of the shares in Danica Pension Försäkringsaktiebolag (publ) (“Danica Pension Sweden”), the Swedish subsidiary of Danica Pension. Polaris is investing together with the financial services specialist investor Acathia and supported by several co-investors, including Sampension and Unigestion.

Danica Pension Sweden was established in 1999, has around 60 employees and is the sixth largest life insurance company in Sweden with 150,000 retail customers and 15,000 corporate customers.

Danica Pension Sweden will be the eighth investment in Polaris’ fund IV.

The transaction is conditional upon approval by the relevant authorities.
